The United States Supreme Court handed Trump a major victory on Monday as he campaigns to regain the presidency, overturning a judicial decision that had excluded him from Colorado's ballot under a constitutional provision involving insurrection for inciting and supporting the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack.
However, the SC, which has a conservative majority of 6 -3, clarified that only Congress has the authority to enforce this provision against federal officeholders and candidates.
The case is Trump v. Anderson, 23-719.
